2019 - 2020 EXECUTIVE BOARD |

PRESIDENT
|
I am excited for another fun and exceptional year. I have two beautiful children; my son will be in 3rd grade this year. !I will also be fulfilling the role of Liaison for First and Third Grades, Special Education, Specials, and Guidance. I enjoy volunteering on the Board as it allows me to interact with parents and staff as well as provides additional opportunities to stay involved with our school including the Westwood Warrior Challenge Committee and as a homeroom parent. I look forward to continuing to work with and meet Westwood families as they continue to share their time, knowledge and skills with their own children, WW students and our school.

VICE PRESIDENT

My husband and I moved to Ankeny in 2006 and our oldest son, MJ, started at Westwood in 2017. Our other son, Drew, is in preschool. We also have a 16 year old cat named Dylan. I graduated from Drake University in 2003 and have been a pharmacist at Iowa Methodist Medical Center since 2003. I was on the Warrior Challenge Committee in 2018 and really enjoyed being involved with the committee and getting to know more of the parents and staff at Westwood. This year I decided I wanted to continue my involvement in PTO and learning more about Westwood by assuming a leadership position. I will also be the Liaison for Second and Fifth Grades. I believe Westwood is a great school and am looking forward to another successful year of PTO supporting our students and teachers.

SECRETARY

I am the lady behind the PTO email account and Facebook so if you have any recommendations, please be in touch! I will also be fulfilling the role of Liaison for Kindergarten as well as the Office Staff and Nurse Wright. I chose to be on the PTO board because I think it provides me an opportunity to play an active role in my children's school. I will have a third grader, a kindergartner, and two preschoolers this school year. I appreciate being knowledgeable about what's going on in the classrooms and want to do my best to assure the teachers have the resources they need to empower our students to be leaders in and out of the classroom.

TREASURER

I have three children that will attend Westwood during the 2019-20 school year in fourth grade, second grade, and Kindergarten. In addition to the treasurer role, I will also be the Liaison for Fourth Grade. I enjoy volunteering on the Board because it affords me the opportunity to interact with a number of parents and staff that volunteer for all of the various committees and activities. I am continually amazed by the WW families that are willing to share their time and talents for the purpose of supporting our school. I am looking forward to another outstanding year- specifically taking back the Trunk Or Treat champion title!
